One in six families cut back on food and essential items around this time of year in order to be able to afford school uniform for the start of the term. With many families hard hit during Covid-19 and many parents losing their jobs, we at Black Mums Upfront have partnered with family and youth support charity Juvenis, to raise money to provide families who are struggling, with assistance in purchasing school uniforms for the anticipated September return. As Mums ourselves, we know how expensive it is to buy school uniforms, especially as children grow so quickly. It is our ethos to help each other and support parents when they need it most. Please help us reach our goal of providing families with the financial assistance needed. Any surplus funds will be used by the charity Juvenis to continue the amazing work they do with young people and their families in and around London.
