For more than 25 years, I’ve helped people transform their outward appearance as a cosmetologist, but life taught me that some wounds can’t be healed in a salon chair. As a widow, I experienced the overwhelming reality of rebuilding a life I never planned to rebuild. Long before that, I knew what it meant to be a young single mother raising children while trying to build a future. Those seasons taught me something I’ll never forget: The greatest battles are often won or lost in how we think or perceive things.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve also received my yoga certification, coaching certification, became a minister, and a hair colorist instructor. I’ve invested thousands of dollars of my own resources into building Hilliard & Hobbs and the Back To Me vision, and Hilliard and Hobbs has been trademarked. I’m now inviting others who believe in this mission to help bring this journal into the hands of widows and single mothers who are rebuilding their lives.

That’s why I created Back To Me. Back To Me is more than a journal. It is the beginning of a movement dedicated to helping widows, single mothers, and women navigating life’s unexpected seasons rebuild their self-worth, strengthen their thinking, and make healthier choices one day at a time. My vision is to place this journal into the hands of women who need a place to process grief, rebuild confidence, rediscover purpose, and remember that they still have value.

The funds raised will help cover journal design and professional editing, publishing and legal protection, printing the first edition, marketing and launch, and shipping and fulfillment. Your support will help me get the Back To Me Journal into the hands of women who need it most. I would be so grateful for your support in helping me launch this project. Every contribution brings us closer to empowering women to rebuild their confidence and rediscover their purpose.
