Back to Greece

Winter is coming in Greece and it's cold and wet. Many of you know I volunteered earlier in the year on Lesvos and at the port in Athens. Well....I'm going back! In early February next year for a month. But this time it will be to help set up a program to assess and treat nutritional issues in the camps in northern and western Greece, around Athens, and on one or two of the Aegean islands.  Many of the refugees have been in Greece for more than a year surviving on a severely limited diet. For the vulnerable like infants and young children and the elderly in particular, this can have a devastating impact on their health.
I'll be with a non-profit organisation called Involvement Volunteers International, going with a large group of doctors, nurses and others from here and other countries.
Like last time, I'm responsible for all my expenses.Even though we'll be sharing rooms and watching our cents, fares, accommodation and food can add up.
