<div>I am kindly seeking your financial support or professional help to stop foreclosure of my home, as per the New York State Supreme Court Judge’s Order of July 8th 2025 (Index No. 58282/2024). I am in an urgent need to hire a lawyer to help in the ongoing (foreclosure) process and prevent declaring bankruptcy.

<div>My employer for many decades, the United Nations, has refused to pay my salary or my pension since May 2022. This is happening after nearly 33 years of work at the United Nations Headquarters, where I worked closely with several countries and institutions to advance the organization’s mission under five Secretary-Generals. In that regards, on 17 May 2018, Mr. António Guterres, the sitting Secretary-General, awarded me the “Long Service Award ... in grateful recognition of 25 years of dedicated service to the United Nations in support of its goals and mandate." <div>Unfortunately, as a United Nations employee, I am not allowed to work elsewhere for pay, except with authorization from the Department of Homeland Security. The process for this authorization is ongoing, following annotations of the Social Security Administration earlier this month of August 2025.

<div>For more than three years now, I relied to some extent in my garden for food and emotional strength, the former being conditioned by myself  for colder months. My only child, Sydney, 22, had to drop out of third year undergraduate at Northeastern University. Only subsequent financial support from the university enabled her to complete her studies. She is now a behavior technician - post her Neuroscientist studies - and has been working since June 2024 to help meet our basic needs. From time to time I received help from friends and family that enabled me to cover some of outstanding utility bills.

<div>Haven has begun to work at the United Nations at age 25, I qualified for social security benefits and for pension as of October 15, 2021. Yet, the United Nations has not responded to any requests to justify its actions, including the letter written by the NYS Supreme Court Judge to the Secretary-General on my behalf prior to his Order (see attached)

<div>The foreclosure case is now scheduled for a conference before the Supreme Court on September 30, 2025. I’m happy to provide further details and I will post updates to enable you to follow this matter if desired.

<div>Malheureusement, en tant qu'employée des Nations Unies, je ne suis pas autorisée à exercer une activité rémunérée ailleurs, sauf avec autorisation du Ministère de la Sécurité Intérieure des Etat Unis. Le processus de la dite autorisation est en cours, suite aux annotations formulées par les Services Administratifs de la Sécurité Sociale au début de ce mois d'août 2025.

<div>Depuis plus de trois ans maintenant, je m'appuie dans une certaine mesure sur mon jardin de légumes pour me nourrir et pour mon bien-être émotionnel, y compris durant les mois plus froids avec des aliments conditionnés par mes soins. Mon unique enfant, Sydney, âgée de 22 ans, a dû interrompre sa troisième année de licence à l'Université Northeastern. Ce n'est qu'avec un soutien financier ultérieur de l'université qu'elle a pu achever ses études. Elle est désormais technicienne en comportement, après avoir étudié les neurosciences, et travaille depuis juin 2024 pour subvenir à nos besoins primaires. De temps à autres, je reçois de l'aide de la part d'amis et de la famille, ce qui me permet aussi de régler certaines factures de services publics en attente.

<div>Ayant commencé ma carrière aux Nations Unies à l'âge de 25 ans, je devrais bénéficier des prestations de sécurité sociale et d'une pension depuis le 15 octobre 2021. Cependant, les Nations Unies n'ont pas donné suite à mes requêtes pour expliquer leurs actions, y compris à la lettre que le juge de la Cour Suprême de l'État de New York a adressée au secrétaire général à ma demande avant son ordonnance (voir ci-joint).
