I started this organization to change the way children in &amp; around my hometown of Rocky Mount, NC (a place where 1 in 4 people live in poverty, according to US Census data) define the word possible --- to change the stigma &amp; statistics that negatively impact how our children are seen by others but more importantly, how our children see themselves. Thanks to individual donations, we have not only raised and awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships but have also created literacy programing and essay contests for elementary students, mentor programs for high school kids and professional development opportunities for our scholars so that they are better prepared to compete in our global economy! Through the work we've done, we have changed the way hundreds of kids define the word "possible" --- just look at the 4 BAC Scholars who GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE in 2018!
