Hello everyone,
We’d like to start off by saying thank you for visiting our go fund me account to help make our dreams of having a family come true.
It’s always been my dream to be a mommy! I loved my baby dolls like they were my babies, I’ve always been baby “crazy”, I loved to babysit in my teen and young adult years... who am I kidding, I still love to babysit when I get the opportunity. I have the most wonderful job because I get to teach and be around little ones all day! To be honest though, my dream job is being a mom.
Rob and I got married August 26,2012 and couldn’t wait to start a family. We were patient knowing things could take a little while. After 2 years went by we questioned things. We tried for another year before we sought fertility help.
Woohoo all tests came back NORMAL!!! This is great news but at the same time so frustrating. We fit under the diagnosis of Unexplained Infertility. So, we went though some treatments. 9 to be exact! We did 9 IUI’s (intrauterine insemination) Out of those 9 times I had 2 positive pregnancies, but they resulted in early losses and were considered chemical pregnancies. Our hearts felt crushed when we got the news.
Fertility clinics recommend trying IUI 3-9 times before moving onto something more aggressive. We made it to the max. Our next step is IVF ( in vetro fertilization)
Over the last several months we have stopped fertility treatments so we can save for IVF. Most IVF cycles cost $10,000-$15,000 and then medications can be another $1,000-$3,000.
I am focusing on my well-being and physical health. I’ll be starting acupuncture treatments and anything else to prepare my mind and body for IVF.
Rob is busy focusing on his schooling and his health. He will be graduating from UW with his masters degree December 2018! I’m so proud of him.
We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for any amount you are willing and able to give. We thank you all for your prayers, positive thoughts and words of encouragement.
