You find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, get married then next step would be to start a family. But unfortunately we are that 1 in 10 who have infertility struggles...
Our story: Mike and I started dating August 5, 2003. We got engaged January 21, 2006 at the end of the dock during dinner at Newport Bay Restaurant on the waterfront. May 19, 2007 we were married while floating down the river on the Sternwheeler Rose.
Fast forward him and I wanted babies from day one. When 2011 rolled around we couldn't figure out why it just wasn't our time. 2012 rolled around finally him and I both went through testing for everything possible that would prevent either one of us from not being able to have a baby. We found out actually on Mikes birthday in 2012 the reason why we weren't able to have a baby was because of his low motility.
This was hard for my husband to accept. He felt like he was letting me down and not good enough for me anymore. We went through a whole roller coaster of emotions, anger, sadness and just questioning why we were dealt this hand.
2013 we met with Oregon Reproductive Medicine where we did 3 rounds of IUI each month getting our hopes up looking for that positive pregnancy test, only to be let down with a negative blood test. So 2014 we decided to take that year off from doctors and trying.
Here we are 2015!! New year new goals.... We decided after all of these years to tell our story for a few reasons 1) we were tired of making up excuses when people would ask us why we don't have kids yet 2) we are 33 and 36 so times a tickin and 3) financially we need help, no matter how hard we try it's just not going to happen naturally..
We have decided to move forward with In Vetro Fertilization with ICSI where they will inject into the egg and with a little bit of baby dust will result in a #babystoneTM With this procedure comes a HUGE price tag $13 thousand dollars. If you would like to make our dreams of becoming a mommy and daddy we would be forever greatful. Every dollar gets us that much closer to our miracle. But just sharing our story with everyone is amazing too!! I'm open to any questions that you might have about the procedure, our timeline or anything you might want to say...
