A parents worst nightmare....... not once, but twice.....after losing thier first baby boy, Jayce, to SIDS, in September 2015, Sarah and Stephen were excited to be welcoming thier rainbow baby, Maverick, due November 11, 2017.
On Friday, October 20, 2017, they went to the hospital with concerns for the baby. After many tests and ultrasounds later, his heart beat started to regulate and moms blood pressure dropped back to normal, and they were sent home, assuming everything was fine.
On Sunday, October 22, the nightmare began. Sarah woke and couldn't feel baby moving. She quickly reached for her home fetal dopler machine, but couldn't hear his heart beat. They rushed to the hospital where more tests were done, another ultrasound, but no heart beat.
She was rushed in for an emergency c section, but it was too late. Baby Maverick was gone. Their world came crashing down around them, again! How does this happen? They already lost 1, how did this happen again? They were told the cord was wrapped around Maverick twice, causing him to be deprived of oxygen.
How do parents come back from this? How do they move on,....again?
We are raising money to give Maverick the proper good bye and give Sarah and Stephen the time they need to heal from this.
The funeral home has graciously donated thier time for the service.... but there is still so much to pay for. The money will be used to pay for the extras, such as an urn, reception after the service, and bills. Unfortunately, when tragedy strikes, the world does not stop moving.
