Help w/ Baby Hunter's Medical Fund

On Thursday, Jan. 12th, 9-month old baby, Hunter, had but a runny nose.
By Friday he had thrown up in his bed and then continued to throw up throughout the day. He was limp and lethargic. Jacqui, his Mommy, took him to the doctor on Friday afternoon. Their doctor prescribed a treatment regime for at home, with the caution that if he can't keep things down to take him to the Emergency Room.
Saturday morning he threw up again and by Saturday evening, they had given him enough pedialyte that he was feeling better. Even good enough to play a bit. Overnight Saturday night, he woke up and nursed a few times but very little. He seemed fine.
When he woke up Sunday morning and had breakfast he threw all of it up. At this point they took him to the Urgent Care at Kaiser in Fresno. At urgent care they said he was dehydrated and confirmed his doctor’s stomach virus diagnosis. They sent Hunter to the ER to get IV fluids. They gave him a full bag of fluids but weren't seeing any improvements so they transferred him to Valley Children's Hospital. While they waited for the transport, Jacqui noticed his stomach was getting very distended.
After arriving at Children's they also said he was dehydrated and pumped even more IV's into him. At that point he hadn't urinated for more than 12 hours. Not good.
Because his body was not properly processing the fluids, he remained in a dehydrated state which as you know can be very dangerous, most especially for a baby. Hunter continued to swell throughout his body. They ran every test they could think of, xrays, CT scans, ultrasounds, blood test and the like and more and more fluids. Yes, more fluids! Unfortunately, his little body was still unable to get rid of these fluids which, in turn, was making him even sicker. By now, he was a very very sick baby.
During this whole experience, Jacqui and Jacob (Mommy and Daddy) are watching their precious baby boy go down hill, from just sleepy and tired to critical condition in a hospital. By Tuesday morning, his doctor wanted to move Hunter into an ICU unit, but Valley Children's was full and they weren't quite sure how to handle it. They decided to transport him via helicopter to Santa Clara, to the main hub hospital for Kaiser.
Once he arrived at Santa Clara Kaiser on Tuesday, Jan. 17th, the doctors at that hospital knew exactly what was going on and changed his protocol.
Though Wed. night the baby had a very rough night, he has been slowly and steadily improving, whereas prior to his hospital transfer he was going downhill rapidly. They are still awaiting their first smile from Hunter but are now hopeful since they are finally seeing him respond to treatment. Praise God for that!
Jacob is self-employed with a brand new business and Jacqui is a stay-at-home mom, so the extra expenses are adding up.
