Baby Henry Trausch

Donation protected

Henry Lowell Trausch was born  May 16, 2017, a couple weeks early but was expected to enter this world like any other healthy baby.
Right after his arrival, the pediatrician on call noticed that he was having breathing problems and was turning blue. He made the decision to have him transported by ambulance to St. Vincents Hospital 40 minutes away from the hospital he was born in and his very confused parents who didnt' even have a chance to hold him but for a few seconds.
Henry was  born without any Surfactant in his lungs which is something that is needed for healthy lung function.
At this time he's 1 week old and as you can see from the picture, has been through a lot in his short little life , but is fighting like a champ   One of the doctors told mom that they gave Henry about a 25 -30% chance of survival when he arrived at St. V's.
There is no price one can put on any life, but all of this medical treatment that he has been receiving and will receive DOES  unfortunately come with a price tag. As of today, just his medicine alone is already over $100,000.00, and as a young family  with a 2 year old little boy at home that is anxiously awaiting his first meeting with his little brother, money is in short supply.
We are not sure what Henry's future holds or if this will have any affect on him as an adult.  After he is released from the hospital, whever that will be, he will have to have frequent visits with the doctors at St. V's to make sure he's on track. He wil be sent home with some breathing equipment and basically will be a "little boy in a bubble" needing to stay away from as many germs as possible until his lungs are strong enough to handle it.
Funds would be appreciated and are needed as soon as possible as the household bills are getting behind because moms job is obviously on hold while dad just reluctantly went back to work , but when he doesn't work he doesn't get paid.
On behalf of my daughter and her family, thank you in advance for your assistance in helping them pay these bills, and from the bottom of this gramma's heart,  God bless each of you for opening your hearts  to help a young family and their sweet little warrior Henry.
