Baby Gibson Allen Fund

Little Baby Gibson was born 8 weeks prematurely on August 21st, 2012.  He was born with a number of health complications including hydrocephalus (fluid in the brain), congenital heart defects, as well as respiratory and esophageal issues.  He is a fighter and has overcome SO much in the weeks since his birth but he still has much ahead of him!  At this point, Gibson is at Dell Children's Hospital being observed by Neonatologists, Neurosurgeons, Cardiologists, as well as feeding & physical therapists.  In his short little life he has already had five blood transfusions, ongoing blood work & tests, spinal taps, weekly x-rays, ultrasounds, MRIs, and he has overcome two very serious viral infections.  As we write this he will soon have surgery to place a G-tube for feeding purposes and he doctors expect he will undergo a heart surgery as he nears one year old. As we pass 80 days in the NICU, you can imagine the bills that are piling up and there will be more care needed in the weeks and months to come.
