This is my sweet baby boy Alexander. He is 1 years old. Today we rushed him to the emergency room because he was having trouble breathing. The nurses tried a breathing treatment that didn't work and now have him on this oxygen machine. We are hoping everything is going to be okay but all we can do is pray. Unfortunately, my son has a long history in the hospital. He was born with down syndrome and a hole in his heart. He was unable to function on his own so was put on a machine that acted as his heart and lungs. This is known as Ecmo. Well due to the Ecmo he then suffered a stroke at 8 days old. The stroke then caused him to begin having seizures. After 2 months in the NICU My Angel was finally able to come home. Shortly after he then began having Infantile Spasms which is a rare type of seizures seen in infants. We have tried several different medications and have not had any success so next week we will begin our second round of steriods. With everything going on with my son I have been unable to work. My mother has been doing her best to help but this month is does not look like we are going to make the bills. If you feel in your heart to help us anything and everything is appreciated.
