Funeral fund for precious baby Ben

It's with very heavy and traumatized minds and hearts that we have to announce that our baby Ben passed away a few weeks ago. With many tears, not a lot can be written except we need to continue raising money for his funeral and medical expenses, etc. Without going into much detail, and without providing a hospital name, some of the staff in the NICU made a serious error in his care which has been proven by a cardiologist, etc., to be the leading cause of his death, making his minor heart condition major due to the injury they inflicted. This makes it all the more traumatizing and heartbreaking for us. We are just a local Christian couple...hoping it's not too late to have another baby but fertility wise, time is not on Lisa's side as she's 42 in a few months. She needs to wait almost a year to physically heal but meantime cannot afford freezing embryos, surrogacy, or adoption. A love offering in any amount would be more than appreciated. Greetings to family & friends and to all the people and churches who have been lifting baby Ben in their prayers from all around the world. It's hard to know where to start except to say that since June 3, 2017, our lives have completely changed when our miracle baby Ben had to enter this world 3 months prematurely at only 1 pound 13oz. I had a healthy pregnancy. Just all of the sudden on the morning of 6/2, I woke up to find that my water broke. I was among the 2% where they cannot explain why this happened, as I had no risk factors such preeclampsia, infection, etc. The next day in the hospital they determined that the baby's movements were very limited and that there was no more water in the sac. We were terrified as they initially couldn't find the heartbeat. They then had to perform an emergency c-section to prevent losing him and the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck 3 times. Since then, he has been on life support in the NICU.
A few nights ago we almost lost him because he had a rare undetected heart issue where the muscle around the two ventricles are too thick and has caused his heart to have to work too hard. They started a heart med and his vitals are improving but we are by far not out of the woods. We have to take it day by day. It's difficult to go home for long periods of time, so they allowed us a room at the hospital but only temporarily. The longer we are away, the more anxiety we experience. Every time the phone rings, our hearts skip a beat wondering if it's the hospital. So...you can imagine.
With all this being said, above all, we desperately need your continued prayers. This has been beyond emotionally traumatic, while at the same time we are so beyond grateful baby Ben is still with us and we are praying he will get to come home with us on the would have been due date of August 28th. Unfortunately, financially it is already becoming a hardship. Not long ago, Larry lost his machine shop business with the economic downturn and this was devastating. Since then, he's had just contract job assignments. In a nutshell, Larry has been a single dad of a child who is looking to attend college in the fall so this will further strain his finances. He has also received no child support. I (Lisa) have had a part time job due to being a law student so my income has been limited as well.
Lastly, please know that we have never been ones to ask for anything but rather we generally have put others first over the years. We have a mortgage and bills to pay...and with baby Ben's upcoming unforeseen expenses this is only going to challenge our finances further. We also need to board our dogs for some time. Our prayer would be that if you feel led to help Ben's cause in any amount, it would be appreciated beyond words...a love offering in ANY amount will help this cause.
