Baby Watson Adoption Fundraiser

Donation protected
Ryan and I (Natasha) are so excited to be sharing our adoption journey with you. After all, it takes a village to raise a child and we know that our future baby will be blessed with an amazing support system of caring aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and plenty of “fr-amily” (friends that are family).

We started our adoption journey in July 2018, after 3 years of battling infertility and falling head over heels in love with our adopted niece and nephew. It was evident that God was calling us to adoption and we were ready to listen. After hours of research and fearing the cost associated with private domestic infant adoption, we found an alternative with our DCF Foster to adopt program. Ryan and I went through the initial home study process and started the TIPP class. Through the 3 different meetings we felt uneasy, sick and anxious. Why? When you foster through DCF, the odds of adoption are compared to winning the lottery. Their primary goal is to reunify the child with their parents or family members. We knew we could not bear it if we fostered for any amount of time with the intention to adopt, and the child we loved was taken away from us and our family. No matter, we decided our story could not end here.

We decided to reach out to Ryan’s sister and husband, who had successfully adopted.  We committed, even though domestic infant adoption was expensive. It was the only way to go.  On March 28, 2019, we partnered with our social worker, Susan and have been pursuing our dream of becoming parents. We cannot describe how excited we are to have our own family traditions, to make memories and to shape another human. We talk about our future child and which quirky personality traits they will end up exhibiting and we long to hold our future baby in our arms.

To make our dreams come true, we need your help, our village. Please consider donating to our fundraiser to Bring home Baby Watson and to “Tag the Bag”. You are probably asking, what the heck is that? When we go down to Georgia to pick up Baby Watson, we will need to pack luggage for our stay and our Baby will have their own suit case. When you make a donation, please leave a special message for our baby to include on the suit case. As our child gets older we will share your messages of love with our “Little”. These tags will also be the start of Baby Watson’s life book about their adoption journey.

Thank you for your love and support,

Ryan and Natasha
