We have a new case of an 11 months old girl, Tia Diab, who’s suffering from deficiency in bone marrow and according to the above document issued by The Makassed Hospital in Lebanon, the girl will need an operation to perform a Bone marrow transplant.
The father will be the donor and the transplant will take two days however the girls will need to stay in intensive care for an average of 45 days. This whole process will cost $70000 US of which the government covers $30000. Another group managed to collect $10000 AU therefore the amount needed is approximately $42000AU.
The situation is very urgent and unless the funds are raised Tia will not be able to do the operation.
We have a few charity members in Lebanon who meet families that are in need and make sure that the situation is real, we are provided with the details from the hospital and costs associated via formal quotations.
Once the money is collected we will be paying the hospital directly through wire transfer in order for the operation to go ahead. This speeds up the process of getting the procedure started.
