Baby Samuel Kalen

Every person has their own story and today, we join together with Edward and Kathy and their beautiful 5.2lb baby boy Samuel. Their first born son! At their 20 week appointment, Edward and Kathy found out that their baby is facing complications in the womb, known as gastroschsis. This is where the baby's organs are outside of the body.

On October 5th 2018, Kathy delivered their first born son, Samuel via c-section. Samuel was born with more organs out than the doctor's had predicted. With a quick glimpse of their son, they rushed him into surgery. Afterwards, he was improving on his own for a little while and the doctor's were shocked to see much improvement so quick in such a short period of time, until he turned for the worse and his organs started to come back out. He is estimated to be in the NICU for 2 months, but all things are possible with  God!!

As Samuel is fighting for his life, Kathy is facing her own share of problems following her c-section. After discharge, a few days later she was rushed back into the emergency room to figure out what is going on with her body.

This family has a long road ahead of them and we want to help them financially and of course in prayer. They have been married for only 2 years and no parent deserves to go through a battle they are facing! We want to ask, if you have it in your hearts to please pray for them, that'll always be number one! Secondly, if you can help them financially, that would help them a lot with medical expenses!! If you cannot help them financially, just pray! Prayer has greater value.
