Baby Oliver's Fundraiser

Our grandson Oliver was born suddenly at only 29 weeks due to Placental Abruption yesterday. He weighs 2 lbs 11 oz. He was diagnosed in Utero with Caudal Regression Syndrome. In Oliver's situation, this means his lumbar spine and sacrum never developed, his spine ends at T12. Oliver will be permanently disabled as a result of this and not have use of his legs. His mom and dad didn't expect for her non paid maternity leave to be for 2 more months. Now due to his prematurity, along with his complications, she is unable to go back to work at all. Oliver is expected to be in the NICU for the next 11 weeks, and he will go home with a lifetime of many needs. Not all of his procedures are covered by insurance and his mom and dad will be driving every day spending all their time in the hospital as much as possible. They have many, many expenses ahead of them. It is very hard to ask for help, but when it's your child, you have to do what you have to do. We are grateful for any help that anyone can do. Any small amount will help get over the big mountain they are climbing in the months and years ahead. Oliver is a huge blessing to our family and we know he is going to do amazing things!
