In December of last year we received a call that a baby girl had been born the day before and that her biological mother had chosen us to parent her. Kirk and I were ecstatic and honestly we still are, we have a child! We met our baby girl when she was five days old and brought her home to Kentucky several days later. We are so in love with Isabella, as is everyone in our family! She is such a light in our lives and is always a smiling, happy baby!
Though this journey is already an amazing and wonderful experience, it is also very expensive. Kirk and I will be in Florida at the end of September hoping to have Isabella’s biological father’s rights waived so that we can finalize our adoption of her. Unfortunately, this comes with a hefty price tag that we were not expecting and is due in a short five and half weeks. We are asking you to help us make our dreams come true. Help us complete the adoption of our sweet Isabella and keep her in the only home she’s known; keep her with the only parents she’s known. If you are unable to help financially, please share our story with others in hopes they can help us reach our goal. Kirk and I are so thankful to you for reading about our journey and for any and all purchases made to help keep Isabella in our lives.
Urgent news! We've got a match and need your help getting us to our goal to bring our baby home. See most recent update for info and thank you for stopping by!
Hello! Welcome to our adoption journey! My name is Ashley and my husband, Kirk, and I are hoping to complete our family through adopting a newborn baby. We have been married for 9 years and together for a total of 16years. Our love for each other only grows stronger each day and we want to share that love with a child we can call our own.
During the last four years we have gone through several different fertility treatments but unfortunately have been unable to conceive. With a combination of endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and my hostile uterus we were told adoption would be our best option. Hearing this was something we both had prepared for and were ready for that next step in our lives. Kirk and I agreed that adoption would be a way to not only help ourselves achieve our dream of becoming parents but also give a child in need a loving and caring home. As a child, I had dreams of adopting a child; God put that on my heart at a young age to prepare me for the path he had set for us. Both, Kirk, and I feel that the Lord has a plan for us to share our love with a baby that needs us.
Though this journey is already an amazing and wonderful experience, it is also very expensive. We are asking you to help us make our dreams come true. Help us become the parents we know we are supposed to be. Please consider donating; any amount big or small can benefit our adoption journey and is appreciated more than words can say. If you are unable to help financially, please share our story with others in hopes they can help us fill the hole in our hearts. Kirk and I are so thankful to you for reading about our journey and for any and all donations made to bring baby Nickerson into our lives.
We've got a match!!! In the last few months our profile has been presented to several birth mothers and through that time we have watched them select other families. Well, today the wait is over! We were chosen by a birth mother who actually gave birth on Wednesday, December 5th, meaning our baby is already here !!! And we get to meet her very soon. Our fundraising efforts have gone well but we still need a pretty large amount to bring our baby girl home. Please consider donating or sharing with your friends and family.
