Our dear friends, John and Emily, welcomed their beautiful healthy twins, Max & Mia Nava, to the world on September 18, 2019. John, Emily, and big brother Anthony were surprised and elated to meet their happy healthy twins nearly two months early.
On Wednesday November 20th, Mia suddenly began having trouble breathing. She was rushed to Medical City Hospital in Dallas by ambulance. After a series of testing and scans, it was determined that Mia had lost brain function and is now breathing with the help of machines. The doctors and nurses working with Mia have done everything they can to determine the cause of this but have been unsuccessful up to this point. John and Emily are experiencing overwhelming grief as they wait for answers. The doctors will continue to keep Mia comfortable and are confident that she is not feeling any pain.
