In June of this year, my best friend, Anne, became very ill and was hospitalized on and off for nearly 4 months. Because of these health conditions she was put on strict bed rest in an attempt to prevent premature birth, as she was 19 weeks pregnant. Regardless of every precaution taken for those 13 weeks, her son, Luca James, was born 8 weeks premature. He remains in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Rockford, IL. and will not be released until he is healthy enough to survive without medical support. Doctors say this may not happen till December:/ There have been many ups and downs, scary setbacks for Luca, and the NICU is a very hard place to be. To make it worse, Anne's husband Jared has to remain in Arizona where their home and work are. He's been making trips back and forth to IL whenever possible to be with Anne and baby Luca. So far, Anne has been off work for 17+ weeks and Luca has been in the NICU for 4 weeks and counting. With so much lost income and the medical bills piling up to keep this little guy alive, they could really use some help! Anne has been in my life for 12 years and I love her and Jared to pieces. They are both in law enforcement, are very hard working, great people, that would never ask for help. They would give the shirt off their back to help those in their lives, and I would like to do the same for them! This is why I decided to start this Go Fund Me campaign. Please help me, help them!
