Baby Jenkins Medical Fund

Brittiny and CJ Jenkins were married just last fall and are expecting their second child at the end of April this year.  Recently Brittiny's pregnancy was found to be high risk after being diagnosed with severe polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid) which leads her body to think it is ready to go into labor before the baby is fully developed.  Upon this discovery the doctors also found that Baby Jenkins has a heart defect refered to as an atrioventical septal defect (AVSD) in addition to Dandy Walker Variant which is a small cyst near the cerebellum.  As a result Brittiny has been transfered from their home in Lake Havasu City to the Ronald McDonald House adjacent to the Banner Health facility where she will remain until after delivery and recovery.
Due to the nature of Baby Jenkins' condition heart surgury and a brain scan will have to be performed as soon as the baby is born to repair the baby's heart.

With Brittiny in Phoenix and not working, CJ is left to work as much as possible at Havasu's Shogun Japanese restarant where he works as a bartender.  CJ's job is their only source of income at this point and due to the fact that he is traveling to Phoenix every week to be with Brittiny in addition to caring for their two year old son, Gunnar, a huge toll is being taken on the family's finances.  Any funds that can be raised to help this young family is greatly needed and appreciated!  Brittiny and baby will likely remain in NICU at Banner for months  after the baby is delivered due to the severity of the complications and bills will surely be stacking up.
