This past December Nick and Caroline Wissinger welcomed baby Hoyt into the world. Shortly after he was born they ran him through a battery of tests due to his lab values for his liver. After tons of testing they found he has a rare liver condition called biliary atresia. He underwent major surgery and had a procedure called Kasai procedure done in hopes this would give him time before he needed a transplant. Just a few weeks ago Hoyts blood work came back showing he needed a transplant soon. They placed Hoyt on the liver transplant list at Children’s hospital in Pittsburgh. He is awaiting a donation from a stranger or 20+ family and friends have signed up to be tested. It is now a waiting game. They have been missing lots of work and will continue to do so the months ahead, as they have to stay at the hospital for 3 months after transplant. Please donate to help the family through this tough time. Thank you
