On Tuesday, October 7, 2017, Paul witnessed his dog Baby Girl get hit by a car. What he did next took Herculean effort: He brought her to our veterinary clinic.
Why describe this as "Herculean effort"? Because Paul and Baby Girl are homeless, and in order to bring her in, he had to bicycle across the city, first carrying her on his back, and then in a suitcase.
I have never been so moved by an owner's effort on behalf of their pet. Paul and Baby Girl mean the world to one other.
After 17 years of veterinary practice, I am asking for donations on behalf of my patient. She is a doll!
The impact of the vehicle broke Baby Girl's left femur and her right tibia. At 14 months of age, she will recover well with a pin in her femur and a plate on her tibia.
