Our son Damien (20 months old) was diagnosed with an extremely rare and terminal brain cancer on August 29, 2017 (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumors-ATRT). We are a family of five (husband, wife, and three beautiful children ages 10, 8, and 20 months). We live in Flagstaff, AZ but our son will receive intesnsive chemotherapy at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Our family is completely devastated and want to spend as much time with our wee one as possible. I had to quit my job several months ago when Damien started to get very sick. My husband is still working and will remain at home in Flagstaff with our older two children while I stay with Damien in Phoenix while he receives treatment. Being separated from each other is going to be extremely difficult.
Your donation will allow Damien to spend as much time as possible with his family and loved ones for the time he has left on this earth. It will also allow my husband to take some much needed time off from work so he can be with our son as well. Additionally, your donation will allow us to make Damien as comfortable as possible by adding acupuncture, reflexology, and other medical expenses not covered by his insurance. In between treatments, Damien is going to need around the clock care and a home nurse to ensure all of his medical needs are being met as safely as possible.
