Baby Corbyn

My sister, Jacqueline, is pregnant with her third son Corbyn. Her previous pregnancies were high risk, so this one was treated as one as well. Unfortunately though this pregnancy is not just high risk for momma, but also affecting Corbyn. When Jacqueline went to obtain her ultrasound abnormal results were discovered. Physican review noted a "double bubble" which is found in infants that have duodenal atresia, which is a congenital defect in which the small intestine is not open and cannot allow the passage of stomach contents. This causes extra amniotic fluid, so Jacqueline is experiencing more pelvic pressure and pain. Corbyn will need surgery following his delivery to repair his small intestine. With this finding Jacqueline was sent to a specialist for further testing as infants that present with duodenal atresia can have down's syndrome. So upon futher testing in October, Jacqueline was informed that Corbyn tested 91% positive for down syndrome. She did receive good news though that his heart is in healthy condition. 

Due to excessive fluid many women do not carry to full term and with Cobryns need for surgery Jacqueline needs to retain her pregnancy as long as possible to allow for his lungs to strengthen. Contractions have sent her to the hospital on multiple occasions, fortunately the contractions have stopped but currently she is 6cm dilated at just 36 weeks. The physicians are being proactive and have given Jacqueline two dosages of steriods to help Corbyns lungs progress. Due to all this she needed to stop working earlier than she had planned and will also need to travel back and forth to the NICU following Corbyn's birth (so she can care for Braxton and Enric). 

My sister would give a stranger the shirt off her back. The stress of worrying about Corbyn is enough now she is worried about having enough money to get back and forth to appointments and still provide to the household. All she wants is to bring Corbyn home healthy and to me that is all she should be focusing on right now (certainly not money). If you can not help financially, prayers would greatly welcomed.
