Baby Claire's Medical Fund

This is my niece's daughter, Claire.  She was born one month and one day prematurely. Two weeks ago, Claire was rushed to the ER because her umbilical hernia had turned blue. After the hernia repair surgery, doctors discovered tumors in Claire's abdomen. Now at just 5 1/2 months old, she has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer that causes these tumors.  Until yesterday, Claire had been in an induced coma, paralyzed, with a feeding tube.  She will now have to remain in the hospital for at least the next 6 months to receive chemotherapy.

This is a very difficult time for Claire's parents, Amanda and Jonathan Homeister. Claire's sister Aubry and brother Brayson are also worried about their baby sister. In addition to taking off time from work to be at the hospital with Claire, Amanda and Jonathan will be facing very expensive bills for the hospital, doctors, treatment, and indefinite post-care while taking care of everyday activities and expenses for Claire's siblings.
