Baby Charlie's Life Giving Surgery

Donation protected
At 20 Weeks My sister in Law (Kristin) went in for an anatomy scan of baby Charlie as he is growing in her belly.
She received some very concerning news about Charlie's development.  They were referred to Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia.  There they met with specialists that diagnosed Charlie with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (Charlie's diaphragm did not form correctly allowing his intestines, stomach and Liver to enter his chest cavity).  This is preventing his lungs from developing properly (currently they are at 22% of where they should be).  With the surgery that can be performed at Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia they should be able to angio his chest cavity for the remainder of the pregnancy and allow his lungs to develop un-inhibited (hopefully growing to a sustainable level at birth).  Even if Charlie's lungs do develop well after in utero surgery, Charlie is going to be required to go through surgery post-delivery and will be on breathing machines to supply the needed oxygen to his little body!

I am asking for assistance with the bills that are going to be incurred when Kristin and her Husband Tom have to re-locate down to Philadelphia for the surgery, which is currently scheduled for 1-25-2018 (she is not allowed to be more than 10 miles away from the hospital after the initial surgery).
Baby Charlie is going to be in the NICU for numerous weeks after the date of birth as well, keeping the family down there even longer.

Thank you and Kindest Regards,

Ian
