Baby Brexton congenital heart defect and surgeries

Donation protected
Brexton was diagnosed with a complex CHD.

Some of the issues include double outlet right ventricle, double outlet left atrium, complete atrioventricular canal, and coarctation of the aorta.

Hey y’all—meet Brexton!!

Born on August 3rd at 10:04 am weighing 7lbs, 6.5oz and semi short lol not 6’5 like his daddy!!

I would like to say thank you all for the warm prayers and blessing! We truly appreciate everything!

August 12th: the doctors did a outline prior to surgery echo scan on Brexton.

Unfortunately, he will not be having his surgery tomorrow. Brexton has a severe leakage in his heart—tricuspid valve regurgitation and is a single ventricle patient.

The biggest change is that the team is now recommending Brexton to be put on the heart transplant list. Now he has to stay in the hospital for 6-1 year+ I will try really hard for his brothers to see him!!

want to start with saying thank you so much to everyone who has reached out. We appreciate each and every one of you! We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers! Your continued prayers are appreciated!

We are hoping for a miracle! Baby Brexton was cleared for surgery! Yay! He was checked out by the anesthesia doctor this morning as well as by the surgeons nurse. He was then rolled down to the (OR) operating room where he will have his first heart surgery at just 2 weeks old!

We have prayed all night and all morning and we are hoping for a great outcome for baby Brexton!

I was going to write the best and worse case scenarios but honestly, I have faith in God and baby Brexton will be in great hands.

We will not know much for a few hours. Plus after surgery we will have a waiting period of seeing how he is doing. Here’s to the best for our sweet baby boy, Brexton who is 2 weeks old today! ❤️

August 17th: he got 2 bands on his pulmonary arteries, he got a shunt to redirect his blood due to the (DOLA) double outlet left atrium, and they fixed his aorta.

So he has all that to heal and the nurse today says they have to watch and see that the bands do not get large—which I never even thought about as well as for the shunt to not be rejected.
