Baby Bornemann and Becki Radiation Journey

Hi, my name is Christen Kiefer.

As most of you know my Sister Becki and brother in law Shaun just welcomed a beautiful baby into the world. They are now a family of 4. Morgan was born Monday and weighs 4lbs 13oz, and is the sweetest little thing. She will be in the nicu for the next coming weeks while she grows and develops a little bit more so she can go home. Becki will be starting iodine radiation therapy as soon as she is healed from the c-section. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a few months ago and had a large tumor removed aswell as her thyroid. After each radiation treatment Becki will have to be away from her family for 3 days each time. Between hospital visits for both mommy and baby I thought to myself, a little bit of help goes a long way. Becki and Shaun are the most selfless people there are and any amount of help during these next few months would be extremely helpful to their little family.
