Baby Bentley Assistance Fund

This week Corey and Desi welcomed their baby boy Bentley into the world. Immediately after his birth, Bentley suffered complications which started as fluid in his lungs that medical staff struggled to remove and escalated the next day to Bentley coughing up blood.
Bentley was flown via Life Flight to Duke University Medical Center where he was placed in the NICU. He has received two blood transfusions as well as a frozen plasma treatment, is on a CPAP machine and inside an Oxygen bubble as his levels drop low when he tries to breathe on his own. Once his blood thickens they will preform a procedure to locate the source of bleeding and attempt to correct it surgically. After that procedure, the issue of his breathing will be addressed if they have not resolved from the procedure. Finally, they will then begin to start feedings and making sure he can tolerate those before coming home.
They have been told by medical staff to expect to be there 1-2 weeks. They did not qualify for the Ronald McDonald House because they live in Sanford which is considered to close. Desi is recovering from her C Section during this time as well and needs to get rest as she can while still being close to Bentley. There are many other expenses such as food and loss of work.
They have been advised their medical bills will be staggering but right now they are in need having the immediate financial pressure of this event taken off of their minds so they can put their focus on Bentley and his health plan.
Although anyone hates to ask for help, there are few young families that are prepared to deal with the blows they have been dealt and would appreciate support.
