Baby Barrett Dean Balfour

Hi friends and family. On July 11, 2017 little Barrett Dean Balfour came fighting into this world. For those of you who don’t know what’s going on, here’s a little update:
Keely Balfour received a blood transfusion after the birth of her first born, Hudson. It is not certain, though doctors now believe that she was given antibodies C and D from the transfusion. This caused her blood and Barrett’s blood to be foreign to each other in utero, which created many complications. During the first few hours of Barrett’s sweet little life there was a very close scare, though he is getting stronger and fighting daily. Unfortunately, a tough road remains before Barrett and his family. Barrett had an extremely high bilirubin count which caused him to need a full double volume blood exchange as well as blood transfusions. He is currently on oxygen, extremely anemic and jaundice, his liver and spleen are swollen, and he was born with fluid in his lungs. Barrett is still in the NICU at TMC and continues to  fight each day. Due to all of the trials that Barrett and his family are facing, Debi Leachet and I would like to set up a gofundme account to support this sweet family. We are asking for your support to help ease the hardships of medical bills to come, traveling expenses, and a loss of time from work. Micah and Keely are currently staying in the Ronald McDonald’s house in Tucson. We would appreciate any support that you can offer and many prayers! Thank you and God bless.
