Baby Ameerah Cancer Recovery Fund

Hi, I am fundraising for my beautiful, sweet, out going 5 year old niece, Ameerah. One day while playing at home she began experiencing considerable stomach pains. It was later discovered at the ER that she had a mass in one of her kidneys. The mass was identified as a Wilms Tumor. This particular tumor is common in children. Given the size of the tumor doctors had to remove the entire kidney. Thankfully, the surgery was a success.

Ameerah is presently not able to drink or eat for several days as doctors are assessing how well the one kidney holds up as well as giving her time to heal. As you can imagine for a growing child, this is not easy or fun. However, the worse, though, necessary part is yet to come in the way of several months of chemotherapy treatments in hopes of ridding her body of any remaining cancer cells.

And this is where sweet Ameerah needs our help most. Ameerah’s mother, Cheyenne, recently gave birth to Ameerah’s baby sister, Azelia of 3 months, and is a stay at home mom w the baby and her brother. Her father, Latrel, has had to take leave from his job as a delivery driver to be with Ameerah during her surgery and future chemo treatments. While, they have some savings, like most Americans when faced with unexpected emergencies and mounting medical costs, they will face financial difficulty meeting Ameerah’s medical needs and putting food on the table for (3) children.
