My name is Jennifer Searcy, and I am raising money for funeral expenses for my newborn granddaughter.
Aaliyah Ray Dagenhart was born on January 12, 2024 with a rare condition known as CDH. Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia occurs when the muscle that separates the organs in the abdomen from the organs in the chest does not develop properly. This causes abdominal organs to move into the chest cavity during development.
We were given the news of this very serious diagnosis in October, and ever since then we had been preparing ourselves for a long, hard health journey.
This is a battle that we did not get to fight.
Baby Aaliyah was born on January 12 and passed away only two days later.
My daughter, Ashlynn, is a beautiful and strong young woman who has had it very rough, to say the least. She has dealt with her own serious health issues and lost her older brother in this past year as well.
The loss of her baby is too much to bear for anyone, much less an eighteen year old young woman. Please consider contributing towards Aaliyah's funeral expenses. Our family is grateful for any help.
