My name is Leilani Akiyama and I represent the United States in the Olympic sport of judo at 57kg. My goal is to compete in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
I am currently ranked 66th in the world and will have to get to 18th by May 30, 2020 to make the Olympic team.
Unfortunately, most of the tournament expenses must be paid for myself so on top of training, I work part-time as well. All of these expenses are adding up and I need help getting to the next few tournaments, which will apply toward Olympic qualification. Please help support me and my Olympic dream!
