Over the 4th of July weekend my sister, Linda Toycen, was hospitalized after not feeling well and has since been diagnosed with cancer.
Linda is one of the most kind, caring people you could ever meet. Shortly after graduating from college she took a job at the YMCA, a non-profit organization, working with kids and families. All these years later she’s just as passionate about her job as when she started. Linda and her husband Jaymes have always been extremely generous, supporting many charitable causes and their church. Just one example - when a child they sponsored through World Vision became an adult they paid for him to continue his education and attend trade school allowing him to support his extended family in a way he never thought possible.
Although I know they will resist this it’s time for them to let others help them. After being released from the hospital, Linda and Jaymes came home to find their refrigerator wasn’t working and given its age it needs to be replaced. They just had to replace their dishwasher a couple of weeks ago and my 14 year old niece is getting braces later this month. This much of a financial burden all at once is hard on anyone, let alone someone who is now facing a tough battle that will have its own financial impact.

First, thank you so much to everyone that has contributed. I'm incredibly grateful for your support and know that Linda and Jaymes are as well. Their new refrigerator will be installed on Saturday!
I've raised the campaign goal as Linda's medical bills will exceed their insurance coverage by quite a bit and I know that we can, as a team, help relieve them of some of that stress.
