Equestrian Nationals - Here We Come!

Donation protected
For all of you who don't know: I have a little sister (12 years old), Tory Gayle, who eats, sleeps, and breaths horses. I for one know nothing about the horse world - other than that it's expensive!

Tory has been riding, training competing under the tutelage of C. Michelle Folden (www.cmfdressage.com) at Stono River Riding Academy (www.stonoriverridingacademy.com) since she was 9 years old. Her passion, drive, determination and work ethic are far beyond anything I have seen resulting in her being named 2013 Champion for the State of South Carolina in Dressage Seat Equitation (it's all about the rider and how she controls the horse - it is very technical). From there, Tory went on to win 2013 Regional Championship in Dressage Seat Equitation which qualified her to compete at the National Championships: to be held at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Chicago, IL, August 20-24, 2014.

During the summertime, Tory Gayle leaves the house at 7:30am/6 days a week, and doesn't get home until after 8:00pm each night. Of those six days, my little sister works every day at the barn cleaning stalls, grooming horses, lifting hay bales, helping with the summer camp, etc. in order to help offset the cost of her training alone. During the school year, as soon as Tory gets home, she heads straight to the barn to work and train and doesn't get home until after 9:00pm, yet still continues to make honor roll every semester while being enrolled in advanced classes.

My sister at the young age of 12 is incredibly driven. Her passion and work ethic far exceed that of most adults I know. She is truly an admirable and amazing young girl and deserves every opportunity afforded to her, to help in the pursuit of her dream to be crowned a National Champion.

My little sister is an inspiration not to just me, but for anyone that comes into contact with her. My parents do the best they can to support Tory Gayle's passion, but it can be quite costly.

So to all my family and friends, I'm asking for your help to send my awesome little sister to Nationals. With the cost of registration, training, instruction, transportation and lodging, the cost is substantial and my goal is to help raise $5,000 to help offset some of those costs. Even if we can't make our targeted goal, every little bit helps.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my story! Thank you in advance for any donations you might be able to provide to help my little sister in the pursuit of her dreams!
