Help Julianne fight back against breast cancer!
This is Julianne with her new buzz cut and the most beautiful smile you have ever seen.
Julianne is a fun, energetic, and wonderful woman who is an inexhausable source of joy to her friends, her husband Dan, and her three spoiled rescue kitties.
Julianne was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in her right breast. The primary tumor is approximately 5cm (imagine a golf ball, but bigger), and has at least one satellite legion that may indicate lymph node involvement. This is a scary prospect, as the lymphatic system is like a subway by which cancer can spread throughout the body.
She will soon have her 4th (of 16) chemotherapy treatment. Following chemotherapy, the most likely outcome will be complete mastectomy.
Julianne and Dan weren't comfortable at first with the idea of accepting donations. They've always taken pride in working hard to pay their own way. But as their insurance provider began mailing notifications that they were denying coverage on some critical (and expensive) treatments, Julianne and Dan realized that they may need to ask for help.
We've all been doing everything we can to carry Julianne and Dan through this difficult time. We want to shield them from all the burdens we possibly can, allowing them to focus entirely on Julianne's recovery.
