Family Reunion Vacation

I am battling a rare stage 4 Sarcoma called Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma. It is believed to have started in my pelvis and spread to my larynx. My head and neck surgical oncologist has said I am one of a handful of known cases to have this type of cancer present itself on the larynx. I have undergone 2 major surgeries in the past year that have been life changing. In October I had a laryngectomy/pharyngectomy/thyroidectomy to remove the bone cancer from my larynx, a rare case!  This surgery cost me my natural voice and I now breathe through a stoma in my neck.  The following month I had to have the cancer removed from my pelvis. This surgery (A Hemipelvectomy) was very challenging as they removed the majority of my left hip, ball, socket and 2 inches of my femur, leaving me unable to walk. I just finished 6 cycles of chemo. My most recent bone scan showed 2 new areas of concern on my spine, we are currently waiting for MRI results. Any reoccurrence would be devastating.

Throughout all of this, I have had the love and support of my family, my wonderful fiance and 2 amazing children, as well as my dog show family and Irish Setter lovers, my loving community and surrounding churches.

All of these things combined have left me with very limited funds due to extended hospital stays and 6 hour round trip visits to my oncologist, sometimes weekly, sometimes more. I have been self employed as a pet groomer and combined with my young age I do not receive much from disability, only $454.00/month. My fiance has been unable to work as he has been my full time caretaker as I have been unable to walk and to weak from chemo to be alone.

I am trying to raise enough money to take my family on a vacation to my home state of Oregon to visit my family and friends and attend my family reunion. It is very hard going through all of this without my family here to support me. All of my family is 1700 miles away and I have not seen most of them in years. I would like to do this while I still feel good before my next course of action takes place. Any help in making this dream become a reality would be greatly appreciated.
