Help Teagan Fight Her War on Cancer

Teagan Walsh is a beautiful 10 year old girl who attends grade school just like so many other children her age. Teagan loves art, singing, and riding her bike in the park. These are all things that we take for granted and now Teagan has suddenly found herself in the fight of her life.
Several months ago Teagan injured her leg. When she went to the local hospital for treatment, it was determined that it was just a strained MCL and she would be fine in a few weeks. However, the swelling in her leg got worse, and walking became extremely painful. She went back to the hospital where doctors ordered new x-rays. The family soon learned that it was not an "injury" and suddenly Mom, Dad and Teagan found themselves sitting at Sick Kids hospital with the doctors explaining Teagan's diagnosis. "My sweet girl Teagan took it all in stride when they said she had bone cancer and they had to remove her leg and maybe her hip as well. She said to us that she would be ok. Through all of this she was trying to reassure us." Renee said, "My strong, brave girl is 10 and has a very gentle soul, much older than her years." The doctors went on to explain that there is a spot in her other leg along with a spot in her lung. (Renee Nakatsu - Teagan's mom)
Teagan will now start the long and painful journey of surgery, treatments, chemo, physiotherapy and healing. There are many treatments, medical equipment, time away from work, traveling expenses, etc. that OHIP and medical insurance does not cover.
The Walsh family are suddenly faced with a costly impact to their life both financially and personally. We are asking you to help Teagan fight this dreaded disease by remembering her in your thoughts and prayers but to also give generously to this campaign.
