Medical Expenses

For the last seven years, I have been homebound due to chronic cellulities and lymphedema.  During this time, I have had extensive home health and wound care.  The infection and lymphedema have become so severe that I will be undergoing intensive hospitalization and rehabilitation as of Sunday, July 20th.  It is expected that I will be in the hospital for an extended period of time with long term in-care rehabilitation.  We do have insurance that will pay for 85% of our expenses; but our out of pocket expenses to date have become to the point where we are overwhelmed with medical expenses making it difficult to make our mortgage payment and meet other financial obligations.  This upcoming hospital stay and rehabilitation will cause our expenses to grow substantially, overwhelming us financially even more.   Life has changed dramatically for us (Larry and me) during the last 7 years where we have not been able to go out and enjoy the basic things in life, such as a walk around the block, a simple shopping trip or to visit friends and family.  I have not been able to get back to see my mom in South Dakota since I became ill, which is heartbreaking as her health is failing and my deepest desire is to get well enough to go home and see her again before anything happens.  Our greatest hope is that this upcoming hospitalization which may require surgery for possible blockages in the leg  will then allow me to regain my life back again.  I am at the point where I cannot even walk even more.  I yearn to go for a walk on the beach, visit with friends and family, have girl time out with friends.  and enjoy time with friends and family enjoying all that I have missed in the last seven years, including my nieces high school graduation and soon to be college graduation, my 30th class reunion, family dinners, birthday celebrations and the joys of every day life.     We certainly understand times our difficult for everyone.  Your prayers are greatly appreciated and if you can afford even the smallest donation we are sincerely grateful.
