Funeral Expenses

Hello, everyone. On Sunday, 06JUL14, my wife's mother (Lorelei) died. Since then, we have done a lot of research on what we need to do to prepare for the final proceedings, and we are incapable of paying for all of it. I'm only working part-time, barely paying my bills, and my wife's mother's bank account is frozen after her death, pending a law-mandated waiting period. None of the mortuaries I have contacted will allow financing (Which I understand why), and I have no ability to get a loan from a bank for these required funds.
My wife's mother was a veteran, and so the Veteran's Administration is covering her cemetary plot, as well as all cemetary-related expenses, but does not cover any of the mortuary fees, such as body-preparation, transport to the cemetary, or the death certificate/legal filing fees.
Lorelei's wish was to be buried alongside her husband (Who is already buried in the cemetary we want to have her buried at), but in order to do that, we need the above dollar amount to pay the mortuary. There are less expensive options that we are considering (Chief among them is cremation), but since these were not her wishes, we are using them as a last resort, in the event we cannot raise enough money.
All I ask is that you donate $1. If you can afford more, please do, but I understand that some people just don't have any extra money laying around to give away. If you can't afford to help me, please help me by sharing this.
In the event we raise more money than is needed, the excess will go toward helping us end all of her existing ends, such as her storage unit, and helping the eldest son (Who is mentally limited and living in a group home) improve his living conditions.
