Bring My Baby Home❤️ the last task

At the end of October, my 3 month old son suffered from shaken baby syndrome while in the care of someone else. Due to the diagnosis the Department of Children and Families was called in for an investigation. Currently the department has custody of my son, and he remains in foster care since his discharge from Boston Children's Hospital. While my son was in the hospital for over a month, I remained by his bedside day and night. I chose to stay with my baby instead of going to work, beause he was my priority. I was given a service plan through the department of tasks that need to be completed prior to the reunification of him and I. I have completed all but one of the final tasks. The remaining task is to have a parenting psychological evaluation completed by a licensed psychologist. I was able to find a psychologist that is willing to work with me very soon in getting this task completed. The unfortunate downfall of this is that due to the fact that I found my own psychologist I have to pay for this evaluation out of pocket, which is $1,800. If I use the department's referral I have to wait an additional 4 months to have this evaluation, and I can't sit and watch time continue to go by without my son. My son and I only get to see each other once a week for one hour. This evaluation is what is keeping me away from being reunified with my son. I am looking for any assistance in helping with the cost of this evaluation, my son needs to be home with his mother. The more time that passes, the distance grows between us. Each time we see each other, it takes him a while to get accustom to me again and it breaks my heart, I don't want to lose the bond between mother and child. My son NEEDS to be home with me, where he belongs in his mother's loving arms.
