Help for the Hintons

As all of us know, hurricane florence was devastating to the Carolinas. Once the initial storm was over, the aftermath got even worse. Because of the high water content, rivers became flooded and the water was cresting, which lead to terrible flooding in the town of Longs, on the outskirts of Myrtle Beach. Military trucks and coast guard were knocking on the doors of the neighborhood preparing for evacuation, when Scott and Cindy realized their lives and home were in danger. With no time to waste, they had to pack and secure what they could to save themselves and their 4 dogs.

Scott and Cindy have always had an open door policy and have welcomed many of us with open arms, in both Jersey and Carolina. I’m sure most of us have a story or memory where they have gone above and beyond to make us feel special, wanted, or just better in a time of need. They have been a parental guidance to many of Scott and Patty’s friends and now is our time to say thank you and show them how much we have all appreciated them over the years.

Now that most of the area has been effected, rentals and contractors will be hard to come by and the demand for help will be scarce. Their home has suffered extensive damage and their living space is no longer habitable. Rentals and damage repairs are going to be a huge cost, and with the area being not in a flood zone most of these houses are not insured for this type of castrophy . No denomination is to small! Please help this family in their time of need to rebuild and get back to their normal life
