Single Mom Fighting Cancer

My mom, Susanne Apke, had to go in for emergency surgery back in Febuary 2014.. A couple days later she was Diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Cancer. She was told that she had to do 12 rounds of Chemotherapy, one treatment every 2 weeks. Shortly after given this devastatin news, we were told she has a mass on her ovaries and must have immediate surgery after she finishes her 12 rounds of Chemotherapy. Three short weeks after surgery she returned to work part time. She started Chemotherapy March 14th. She maintained working up until June 5th, when she made the hard decision to take a medical leave. She does not receive any medical benefits and has no income at this time. She has tried to get help through Social Security but has been denied because they do not carry short term disability. We are asking for donations to help her get through this hard time.
