Hit & Run Crash

Donation protected
My 19 year old son Cody, was the victim of a hit and run incident which left him with minor injuries and a totalled vehicle.
On April 8. 2021, Cody was working his job as a delivery driver when a person driving a newer silver colored 4 door sedan with tinted windows, (possibly a Kia or Hyundai), struck his driver side fender, causing him to crash his vehicle into a utility poll. The driver proceeded to keep going and did not stop, disregarding my sons life and condition of. Furthermore, nobody came forth as a witness although there were many. My son had to call the police himself who then dispatched EMS. This occurred on April 8, 2021 at approximately 2:50pm near 23rd and Glenwood Ave.  Indep.MO. Unfortunately, he only had liability insurance. Note: The incident remains under investigation.
Cody depends on this vehicle for work and to make his money. This young man is the most generous and caring person I know. Instead of blowing his money, he is a responsible young man who enjoys being able to help pay for his own expenses (including bills and food) although this is not required of him. He does it out of the kindness of his heart. He also pays for his insurance, phone, gas and maintenance in addition to his help with other bills. Without a vehicle, Cody is unable to work or seek a different job. And with me having the only transportation in the house, I'm not sure how Cody will take my uncle to his doctors appointments, as I just started a brand new job and cannot miss work.
As his mother, I am very hurt over the nature of the incident, my sons broken heart and the fact I cannot do anything more to help. Anyone who knows Cody knows he has a passion for cars in general but he was very partial to his car. I bought it as a gift for him as he continued to carry the responsibilities mentioned earlier. If Cody was to spend any money on himself, it was usually put toward improving the vehicles performance and appearance and he was sooo proud of it.
I created this fundraiser in hopes that he can purchase another vehicle. He has no idea I have reached out for him so ANYTHING would be a blessing and a suprise. And if you're unable to donate money, prayers are appreciated as well.
Thank you,
