Hi, my name is Ananda.

First of all, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this. My Mother has done so much for me in life and she has always been there to help me in every way. She has gone above and beyond caring for both my brother and I, who both suffer with chronic illness. She always has put us first and her own health has suffered because of this. Creating this Go Fund Me page is a way I can put her first and to try and take care of her in her time of need, as she has done for me.

My Mother, Sue "AKA Crystalsuzy", found a lump in her breast last summer. While out of town, one morning she was looking in a full-length mirror and noticed some dimpling in the skin of her right breast. Right away she felt around the spot and felt a small, but hard lump. She hadn't had a mammogram for a long time and probably would not have found it until it was too late, if she hadn't been using a bigger mirror than the one she had at home. When she returned home, she went to the emergency, as her regular Dr. had just closed her practice. They did all the tests and a biopsy and she was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily, because it was caught it early, she didn’t have to have chemo therapy, but had a lumpectomy and radiation.

Anybody that knows Sue, knows that she has used and studied alternative therapies for years.  When we were young she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and a Hyper thyroid; which is now Hypo. She turned to vitamins and other natural remedies to treat these disorders and began working in a Health Food store part time. This helped pay for her supplements and she began to educate herself on different natural treatments. Not only did the vitamins and herbs help her, she was also able to help my brother and I with our own ailments as well.

When she was diagnosed with the Breast Cancer, she immediately began researching different treatment options. She began seeing a Naturopath who recommended many different supplements and vitamins and doing different alternative treatments. She did these alongside the Oncologists treatments ie: A lumpectomy, Hormone Replacement, and Radiation. I believe she would have been a lot sicker and the healing would have taken a lot longer, if she had not incorporated the natural remedies.

Her body is now suffering from the side effects of the surgery and radiation. The radiation damaged her outer lung causing her to get Pneumonia, which she has been struggling to fight for months now. She's been on several bouts of antibiotics, which worked to some degree, but didn’t get rid of it. Her energy level is really low and the only things that have started to help are natural remedies like IV Vitamin C, mistletoe and glutathione injections, Reiki, Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture. My mom is on a pension and these treatments are all extremely costly, especially on a limited income.

On top of all that, Sue has been suffering for the last few years, with an arthritic hip that is pretty much bone on bone. A hip replacement is not recommended at this time as her immune system was weakened by the radiation. Her body would not handle another surgery at this time. She is in continuous pain with her hip and it breaks my heart to see her limping around and wincing in pain. She can’t tolerate anti-inflammatory or opioid painkillers, so she must use alternative options. Before she was diagnosed with the Cancer, she was having Platelet Rich Plasma therapy with a Naturopath that lives on Vancouver Island. Traveling expenses and this treatment are very costly, but the results were miraculous. After one or two sessions she was barely limping and in much less pain. I was shocked how fast and well it worked, as I was a bit skeptical at first. Unfortunately, these treatments were interrupted when she had to deal with the cancer, so now she is back to how she was before the she started the PRP. She is again suffering and in a lot of pain, however, now she doesn’t have the money to continue these treatments and I know without them she will only get worse.

Sue is normally a very active woman and loves getting out and participating in the Community. She plays in a dance band and loves writing, recording and producing her own songs. It would be very hard on her if she completely loses her ability to get around. She is not even able to do housework right now, as the hip pain has become so debilitating. PRP is the only thing we know that works.

Sue needs to continue taking supplements, doing the recommended therapies and eating a really healthy diet, in order to build her immune system back up so that the cancer doesn’t return.

My hope is to raise enough money for her to continue on and/or restart her treatments. Also for her to be able to hire some help doing things around the house that she is not physically able to do. I know she would never ask for this help herself but am sure she would be eternally grateful for any donation you are able to give big or small.

Again, I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please help me get this out there and share this page.
