Kalika's Medical & Rehabilitation

We are raising funds for our dear friend, Kalika Pathirana’s medical and rehabilitation costs. On October 3rd, Kalika had a stroke and has been hospitalized since. Unfortunately, he does not have any medical insurance nor the family member to support him. He has been living alone for the past 17 years in Las Vegas and has been supporting his aging parents in Sri Lanka.

Kalika has been an avid sportsman all his life and he proudly represented Sri Lanka in 1996 Atlanta Paraolympics in long jump and 100m dash. After he moved to Las Vegas in 2000, he has been a helpful soul in the community. Despite his disability, he continued to be engaged in Cricket league in Las Vegas and holds the best balling record to this date.

The timeline for Kalika’s recovery is indefinite. Our attempt to set up this fund is to facilitate his rehabilitation and the cost associated with the process. We kindly ask you to contribute to this fund as this may be the only financial support for Kalika at the moment.

Kalika has been living at  with Rev. Nawala Lakkana's residence  for last several years and Rev. Nawala Lakkana has graciously  accepted  to hold  the funds onbehlf of Kalika.
