Caring for Collin

We have created this page on behalf of our dear friend and colleague, Kathleen Stempniewski.  Some of you are not aware that Kathleen’s son Collin is a Leukemia survivor.    He was diagnosed at the age of 3 and is now 9 years old and so far cancer free.  However, with all the chemotherapy and radiation treatments his little body had to endure he now has other medical issues he is fighting to overcome.  

They were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to be seen at the Cleveland Clinic by doctors who specialize in the rare disorder they believe Collin has.  Collin will start his journey on July 23rd and will undergo a tremendous amount of testing to determine the next treatment steps.  Up to this point in time everything they have tried has not worked and surgery is the last option. 

With the rising costs of medical treatment, combined with the costs of having to travel to the Cleveland Clinic such as transportation, gas, food, and hotel it has added a further financial weight to their challenges. 

Accordingly, we have established this Go Fund Me Page.  We are hoping to raise enough funds to assist Kathleen during this difficult time of uncertainty with Collin’s medical treatment and give her one less thing to worry about.
