Surviving Breast Cancer

Hello let me introduce myself my name is Cecelia Clay I am a resident of Albuquerque New Mexico I have lived here since 1983. I have three lovely children in sloughs of grandchildren ranging from age 17 to one year. I love them all so very much. I have recently within the last several months, until some challenges in my life with my health has been affected. May 2016 I was diagnosed with early stages of breast cancer which is known as the DCIS ( Ductal Carcinoma - In- SiTu )I had several test MRIs ultrasounds mammograms. This had come to me as such a shock and emotional distress overwhelmed feelings, feelings of depression, fear doubt and insecurities. To hear this news was not something that you expect however being faced with this challenge. Doing the best that I could to walk through the situation, with support of family & friends, August 3, 2016 I have my first surgery where as I had 95% of my left breast removed at the same time instruction had begun however I have run into several complication where as I went back into surgery on August 16 due to necrotic tissue and so I had to have more of my breast tissue removed I had a tissue expander replaced in new drains placed. September 16 I had to go back into surgery due to more complications of infections so at this point the tissue expander was removed and I had to stop the reconstruction phase. At this point in my life I have had to recover go to physical therapy and counseling. Here we are now in 2017 I will have the reconstruction surgery in March,to place the tissue expander,this is make room for a breast implant . My hope is to get as much support as I possibly can because I cannot work I was being sustained during this recovery stage with financial means due to a work injury however that has been exhausted and so therefore I was forced to file for Social Security disability that is yet to be been determined. So right now I'm asking for financial support with my living expenses, until I'm completely recovered. I will also have a second surgery to place an implant- so all in all I will have three surgeries. I'm seeking financial support only for my living expenses. My medical expenses have been cover through Medicaid, my living expenses still remain. Anything that is given I truly truly appreciate it thank you so very much.
