I adopted Boris out of Pittsburgh July 3. He came out of a hoarding situation and I was told he was only given garbage McDonalds to eat his whole life. His fur was matted with 4 inches of fieces. He is now 6 or 7 years old and has many problems. I just took him to the vet today and they said he has a extremely narrow ear canal and his ear is hard and folded over from scratching at it his whole life. Because of this condition you can't clean his ear, add medicine or anything. So it's non stop infection and the vet told me that it's so bad it would be like having a headache and ear infection your whole life. I really want this little boy to live out the rest of his life pain free and happy! This operation has to be performed by a specialist and the starting cost is $3000.00. He also is missing his left eye which could have been due to Trama. This will need to be sealed up so he won't get an infection so close to his brain.
